Dr. Marcus Hopkins

Marcus graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Clinical Sciences and Masters degree in Osteopathy. He has a passion for helping people reach their full potential, through hands on treatment and movement.

Marcus’ approach to Osteopathy is to tailor the treatment to the individual and build strong lasting relationships with his patients. He aims not just to treat the symptoms of the pain, but to find the cause and design a suitable and effective treatment plan.

When treating, Marcus uses many different techniques including, soft tissue massage, articulation, HVLA, dry needling and indirect techniques. He enjoys treating musculoskeletal injuries, especially in regards to sporting injuries, of all age groups. Marcus is very interested in the ongoing advances in concussion and is continuing to educate on the best way of treating concussion in adolescents and adults. Growing up Marcus played a lot of sports including basketball, rugby and football and is still an avid sports lover. He has sustained many injuries himself, including a lumbar disc bulge, PCL tear in the knee, and Osgood-Shlatters disease (knee pain) as an adolescent. These injuries have shaped his passion for rehabilitation and rebuilding confidence in one’s body.

Marcus spent most of 2023 travelling the world with his partner, exploring 30 countries and making lifelong memories. During his travels, he came to appreciate how amazing the human body is, and how important it is to be active and strong. Marcus wants all of his clients to be the best version of themselves and to have no barriers to what they can achieve.
